We are Either Now Here or Nowhere

We are Either Now Here or Nowhere

So starts my journey into sharing more about Baptiste Yoga and how it has impacted my life. And following up from last weeks on post on 8 Universal Principles of Stepping up to the Edge, taken from Baron Baptiste’s book “Journey into Power.” Every other week, I’ll explore each principle and share my personal insights and quotes from the book.

In Baptiste Yoga, there are 3 practices - Asana, Meditation and Inquiry. By sharing my story, I am in Inquiry, which is an access to discovery and new possibilities.

I invite you to be in discovery of what's possible for you by joining me in being Now Here in in your life, practice and teaching one week.

What Is Possible If Your Husband Is Also Your Best Friend

What Is Possible If Your Husband Is Also Your Best Friend

I suspect my husband is a secret wife whisperer. He started saying these 5 words of "You are my best friend" constantly till it has almost an equal power to saying "I love you".

And I love him more for having me look at our relationship in a new way.  And inspiring me to write this post.

Rediscovering my Human-Self | Baptiste Level Three (2018)

Rediscovering my Human-Self | Baptiste Level Three (2018)

This is not a review of the Baptiste level 3 training. Instead I share with you my learnings, my discoveries, my experiences and my reflections from this yoga life teacher training. Warning: It’s a very long post.

You may or may not ever attend a baptiste yoga class or Baptiste training, but be willing to drop what you know, and just be in pure listening. You never know, you might discover something new about yourself.

My biggest takeway is discovering what my life is for. My life is for empowering my family and my community to live life courageously from the heart. With purpose and kind determination.

Duncan Peak's Top 10 Secrets to Being a Good Yoga Teacher

Duncan Peak's Top 10 Secrets to Being a Good Yoga Teacher

I’m trying to restart a little dream of mine - to provide support and inspiration to yoga teachers; budding + experienced. And I’m starting with the man who trained me in Power Vinyasa in 2014 and who inspired me to be an amazing yoga teacher and person.

Duncan Peak - he is the founder of Power Living, which has studios in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.

I even entertained the thought of bringing the Power Living brand to Singapore - on my HUGE possibility list!! :)

He wrote about his top 10 secrets to being a good yoga teacher.

A lot of common sense in article but my top 2 takeaways is

  1. That a good yoga teacher is if they can bring the same boring old breath and down dog to life, day after day, and

  2. To forget inspiring everyone and just focus on staying inspired yourself.
