Growth Is the Most Important Thing There Is

Growth Is the Most Important Thing There Is

Where in your Life are you staying in your comfort zone?

The thing is what's wrong with staying in the comfort zone?

Nothing!

It's safe. It's safer than not knowing what will happen beyond the comfort zone. What's beyond the comfort zone is scary! Because there is uncertainty and you're scared of what you don't know.

But what's possible beyond the comfort zone? Beyond your Edge?

Growth.

And the opportunity to test your secret super power of Courage.

The 3rd principle of Baron's Baptiste's "8 Universal Principles of Stepping up to the Edge" is about acknowledging that Growth is the Most important there is and that in order to grow, you need to accept your Fears as it is. Your fears are stopping from what you want to make happen in your life.

Reposted on on my personal IG but I think it deserves more attention and more thought.

When did we forget to play? When did we start caring what the world things of us?

In Baptiste Yoga, we are given access to discover the Lie we tell ourselves since young, which we believed was the Truth of ourselves.⠀

My lie was I’m a bad girl and I’m not good enough.⠀

And i’ve been working on discovering the ME - before the Lie took over - the ME that is whole and complete. The ME that is full of courage and loving kindness.

The ME before I gave a DAMN about what other people think of me.

Be in the Now and You’ll Know How

Be in the Now and You’ll Know How

Are you with me or are you not with me?

I’m committed to living and breathing the 8 Principles for Stepping up to the Edge from Baron’s book - “Journey into Power"; one Principle at a time.

Are you willing to Step up to Your Edge?

The 1st principle ask that you be NOW HERE in the present moment and to let go of the stories in your head, which brings you to NOWHERE.

And this post delves the 2nd principle which gives you access to answering the HOW - if you are NOW HERE, and then HOW?

One Simple Way to Say I Love You Without Saying I Love You

One Simple Way to Say I Love You Without Saying I Love You

Let me ask you -

Is there someone in your life that for some reason or another, you have difficulty saying "I love you" to them? And you want to. But the words just refuse to come out of your lips.

The situation has gone unchecked and the unhappiness has festered for so long, you just don't know how to change it. If it's possible to change? That it won't change? Actions don't work anymore.

This week I want to share with you my deepest darkest secret.

I... used to have difficulty saying these 3 words.

I can throw them out with the best of them - to my husband, to my close friends. But the one person, or group of persons that I really want to say it to - were my sisters.

It won't mean much if I can't even say it or show my love to my flesh and blood.

What has it this got to do with Baptiste Yoga? Well I stumbled upon this gem of a Ted talk video after my Level 1, and that changed my life.

Not over night. But I see it for the better good today.

And I want to give it back.

It's simple.

It starts with a ……………….

We are Either Now Here or Nowhere

We are Either Now Here or Nowhere

So starts my journey into sharing more about Baptiste Yoga and how it has impacted my life. And following up from last weeks on post on 8 Universal Principles of Stepping up to the Edge, taken from Baron Baptiste’s book “Journey into Power.” Every other week, I’ll explore each principle and share my personal insights and quotes from the book.

In Baptiste Yoga, there are 3 practices - Asana, Meditation and Inquiry. By sharing my story, I am in Inquiry, which is an access to discovery and new possibilities.

I invite you to be in discovery of what's possible for you by joining me in being Now Here in in your life, practice and teaching one week.
