It's about shame, about being vulnerable, about feeling what you feel which is uncomfortable and scary. And you know what - It's ok if you are feeling angry. It's Ok if you're feeling Sad. It’s ok not be ok. Feel What you are feeling. Stop hiding.
Since you're here, you're READY NOW.
This week I'm tooting my own horn because I've just unlocked next level in Baptiste Yoga accreditation! I remember when I first did my Baptiste Level 1 trainingin 2016, never would I have imagined I'd travel to the USA several times to train with Baron and Paige, and I'm very proud to say that I'm now a Tier 2 Certified Baptiste Yoga Educator. And 6 years ago, I’d never even thought it’s possible for me to teach yoga.
I love how they differentiate the "title" of each level from
Teacher>Leader>Educator>Influencer.
Although on paper, I'm just a plain ol' yoga TEACHER, yet there's an inner sense of pride knowing I've done so much tto get where I am, despite my negative thoughts. :)
And being a YOGA EDUCATOR sounds about right for what I'm up to right now.
This week we explore what it means to exceed ourselves in order to find our exceeding self which is the 4th principle of the Eight Universal Principles for Stepping up to the Edge by Baron Baptiste taken from his book -“Journey into Power”.)
The learning here is to be ok with the decision not to step over the edge, and instead stay with whatever is coming up and surrender with easefulness.
And if you do step off the edge, can you move forward without brute force but with kind determination.
When we have no happiness within, we have no happiness to give others

This post was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend of mine. We were talking about why people have an opinion on everything and then it came down to us discovering a simple truth of why people can be so unkind and mean - you know who they are. Could be the people that you hang out with. Could be your colleagues, your family.
You wonder why they do the things they do, why they say what they say.
The truth is they are not nice because they are not happy.
And the reality is we can't make them change unless they are willing and ready to change. But we can change the words we say to ourselves because our words make our world. Kindness starts with You.
