Baptiste Yoga “Journey into Power” Vinyasa Sequence

Headers for Blog_FB-2.png

The main style of Yoga that I teach is Baptiste Power Vinyasa or Baptiste Yoga. Click here to read my Baptiste Yoga story.

Based on Baron Baptiste’s “Journey into Power” (JIP) sequence, it is deeply rooted in the traditional teachings of Iyengar, Bikram and Ashtanga. There are 11 family of poses which includes the essential categories of standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists and inversions.

The sequence “as is” is fixed and yet it’s also adaptable to "every bodies”. It is like a blueprint that encourages creativity no matter where you are at in your practice.

The physicalness of the practice is the foundation of the Baptiste Yoga methodology. Without physicalness, there is no empowerment nor possibilities.

Every time you’re on your mat, EMPOWER yourself to be intentional in creating the physical foundation of the pose and to discovering new possibilities in your practice and life.

Get ready to step up, show up, and find your own personal edge.

Note:

Baptiste Yoga is usually practised in a hot room of around 32 degrees Celcius, which is already Singapore’s standard temperature. (Yay, we save on electric bills!) The whole sequence will take 90 mins to complete but it’s also possible to do a 20-30 mins self practice.
