“When you’re 100% committed, there is freedom in action.
When you are 99% committed, you’d want freedom from action.”
I was doing an online yoga class the other day, and the teacher said this - “If you’re 100% committed, it’s easy. If you are 99%, it’s harder.” - and I suddenly had a revelation.
That is so true. I started looking at my life and what I’m up to and when I’m not at 100, I struggle and I suffer inside.
I love what Beth said, that to her being “100% is like you’re a river, and you flow effortlessly, allowing the currents to carry you through”
If you’ve committed to something - are you 100% committed?
Let’s say you’re in pose or a situation that is not ideal, ask yourself if you are at 100% or 99%? Example, the teacher ask you to hold pose for 10 breaths, or when you’re meditating, working out by yourself at home, trying to make a baby, having sex, talking to someone who won’t let you have a word in, studying for an exam, at a networking event…? (what else……?)
It feels like one part of you wants to be there and other part wants to leave.
And it’s more than being in the present moment. If you’re here, I know you’ve been working on being present. with your loved ones, with yourself.
Sometimes at the back of the mind, resentments, judgements, fears and worries get in the way.
What’s possible if we commit 100% to what we want to make happen? If you are at 99%, what is one thing you can do to bring yourself up to 100?
There is so much freedom in fully committing to whatever you’re up to; it’ll give you so much ease in the heart.
And if you’re STILL struggling or having resistance, ask yourself this other question:
IS IT IMPORTANT?
It’s a simple yes or no.
Be a 100% Yes for what you want to make happen.
If it’s a No, be a 100% no. Let it go.
If you’re a no to something, you are a Yes for something bigger and better.
Just be 100% for what you want to make happen. (note to self)
